Today’s Closed Circuit Television Technology is ever-expanding and evolving. New system components, such as the Day/Night Camera, have combined the technology of color with the reliability of Black and White Cameras. Day/Night Cameras use color to provide a distinct description of the perpetrator; then, once the Camera has reached the Field Adjustable Threshold, the camera reverts to Black and White.

Video Storage has evolved from Multiplexers synchronized with Time Lapse VCR’s utilizing VHS Tapes to store video to DVR’s or Digital Recorders. A properly designed CCTV System with DVR can be capable of storing or archiving video for upwards of a month, and sometimes more. Searching for incidents simply requires the entering of the potential incidents Date and Time. The DVR will query the Hard Drive and Display the activities of that particular time period. Once the incident has been documented, the video can be exported in a MPEG format and either burned to a disk or e-mailed. DVR’s are now equipped with the means of interfacing to a Customer's network by issuing an I.P. address allowing employees, with the proper security access, to view Digital Video on-site or anywhere the World Wide Web is available.

To keep citizens safe from the destruction that fire can cause to themselves and to their businesses, Local Cities have adopted various versions of NFPA Standards to govern the design criteria of Life Safety / Fire Alarm Systems in their Jurisdictions. KCFS's Sales and Design Engineers are trained and specialize in State and Local Codes. Since KCFS is in continual contact with Local Fire Marshals and City Review personnel, KCFS can determine the Classification of your business and determine exactly what Life Safety and Fire Alarm device(s) will be needed.

Along with many of KCFS' services offered, Analog Addressable Systems are also available. These systems utilize Addressable Fire Alarm Devices turning every detection point within a Fire Alarm System into its own functioning Zone. By assigning proper descriptions to each device, Customers are able to precisely determine the source of an Alarm or Trouble. For greater safety, Customers can integrate their Addressable System with a Fire Alarm DACT Communicator, which will dispatch the Fire Department to the exact device in alarm.

As a U.L. Certificated Company, KCFS is required to post the Customer's U.L. Certificate by their Fire Alarm Control Panel along with the approved Fire Alarm plans, Battery Calculations, and documentation. Additionally, KCFS is subjected to random annual audits by U.L. to ensure all System Installations are performed to the strictest and highest quality.

Customers can extend their parts' warranties by entering into an Annual Service Agreement allowing KCFS to perform required Maintenance and Annual Certification Testing and Cleaning of all system components. All systems installed by KCFS come with Operations and Maintenance Manuals, individual Data Sheets, Battery Calculations, and Auto-CAD Drawings. Drawings are also available on CD for archiving purposes.

Video Smoke Detection
(VSD)

“VSD is based on the computer analysis of video images provided by standard CCTV cameras... VSD automatically identifies the particular motion pattern of smoke and alerts the system operator to its presence in the shortest time possible. This enables a fast response to a potential fire, saving valuable time even in voluminous areas or where a high airflow may be present.”

Contacting Central Station

If you have ever used a Central Station, you know it can be somewhat frustrating receiving calls from Dispatching Technicians located on the opposite side of the Country with minimal information regarding your account then being put on hold for 15 minutes only to talk to a computer-automated phone system...
To ensure customers are receiving the assistance they need, KCFS utilizes a Central Station located in the Kansas City Metro Area where each and every call is answered by a live attendant.

Security Systems

KCFS designs, installs and performs maintenance of Security Systems. With today’s technology, the PC’s that may be stolen during a burglary fade in comparison to the data that might be lost with the items stolen. The downtime can be staggering and, unfortunately, can sometimes put a company out of business.

With today's technological advancements ranging from balanced door and overhead door contacts, glass break detectors (tuned to the frequency of breaking glass), motion detectors that require motion, body heat, and a certain amount of mass, we not only have swift detection and response but we can rid your system of nuisance false alarms.

KCFS continues to invest time, resources, and training in our technical staff, enabling them to stay on the edge of an ever-changing market.
